30th Annual SAIIA Quiz
On Thursday, 25 August, 8 of our learners participated in the 30th Annual SAIIA Quiz. Our teams did phenomenal and both teams placed in the top ten out of more than 50 teams. Special Kudos to Ilhaam Gaibie(Gr9), Uzair Solomon, Israah Noordien and Tayba Bassadien (all in Gr10) for taking 3rd place. They won for the school a cash prize of R5000.
Syrian / Palestinian visitors at The Oracle Academy
Thursday saw The Oracle Academy hosting a delegation of children and adults from the refugee camps in Lebanon. The visitors gave us a glimpse of what life is like in the refugee camps as well sharing with us their aspirations. Ten children between the ages of 6 and 16 addressed our learners, interacted with them and in doing so enriched our lives.
The Oracle Academy in conjunction with AMA and Al Quds foundations will be raising funds during the month of Muharram to try and assist as many Palestinian and Syrian refugee children reach their dreams.
